KNOW YOUR ENEMY. THE TRILATERAL COMMISSION

How The Trilateral Commission Controls Presidents, Congressman, Senators, and More.

Formed officially in July of 1973 at a meeting in Tokyo, Japan, the Trilateral Commission was created on the initiative of David Rockefeller, then Chair of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

During a speech at the Chase Manhattan International Financial Forum, Rockefeller proposed the need for an “International Commission of Peace and Prosperity” early in 1972.

Later that year, at the Bilderberg meeting, it was reported to have been widely accepted and was commissioned to “be of help to government by providing measured judgement.”

Rockefeller advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski left his post as a professor at Columbia University to organize the group with Rockefeller.

They gathered prominent members and close comrades and gained funding not only from Rockefeller, but also from the Charles F. Kettering Foundation and the Ford Foundation.

Henry Owen (from the Brookings Institution), Robert Bowie (Director of the Harvard Center of International Affairs), William Scranton (former Governor of Pennsylvania), Alan Greenspan, and Paul Volcker (both later to be heads of the Federal Reserve) began organizing the group.

The first meeting, in July of 1972, was held in the Pocantico compound in New York, one of Rockefeller's estates.

About 250 individuals were in attendance, all carefully screened by the founders and representing the elites of finance and industry world-wide.

This group formed the first members, coming from three distinct geographic areas. the United States, Europe, and Japan.

THE TRILATERAL IS FORMED

That group put together an executive committee which met in October of 1973 to create the Commission and its founding articles.

The Trilateral Commission then met again in 1975 in Kyoto, Japan, and presented its Trilateral Commission Task Force Report, titled “An Outline for Remaking World Trade and Finance.”

It called for the Commission to manage the world economy and foster economic development and, tellingly, to “improve the chances of a smooth and peaceful evolution of the global system.”

Another document presented at that meeting stated that their overriding goal was to make the world safe for “interdependence” by

“protecting the benefits which it provides for each country against external and internal threats which will constantly emerge from those willing to pay a price for more national autonomy.”

This was said to frequently require

“checking the intrusion of national government into the international exchange of both economic and non-economic goods.”

TRILATERAL COMMISSION ENTERS THE POLITICAL ARENA

In 1976, the year of his election, Jimmy Carter attended the first plenary meeting of the commissions’ regional groups. He would later fill his cabinet and various advisory and other posts with members of the Commission.

Today's Trilateral consists of about 350 members representing three geographical regions.

The European group has kept the same name, though new nations have been added. The Japan group has grown into the Pacific Asia group to include several people from various countries in Asia and Oceania. The United States group has become the North American group with the addition of members from Mexico and Canada.

A fourth group, considered to be advisory members, but not part of the three regions, are called the Triennium Participants. These include persons from Morocco, the Middle East, South America, etc.

CRITICISMS OF THE TRILATERAL

Since the 1976 takeover of the Presidency of the United States, many groups have criticized the Trilateral Commission as being a proponent of one world government and the New World Order.

Former Senator Barry Goldwater, in his book “With No Apologies” stated that

“In my view, the Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power...”

He went on to say that they would “rule the future” as managers and creators of this one-world system.

Since the election of Jimmy Carter, every President or close members of his cabinet or advisors have been current or former members of the Commission.

Notable among these were Bush, Sr. (himself a member), Dick Cheney (also a member), Henry Kissinger (member and prominent political advisor), Bill Clinton (member), and several campaign staff and advisors for both the John McCain and the Barack Obama campaigns.

The Trilateral Commission is, without a doubt, one of the prominent institutions by which the world's elites control business, finance, and apparently world governments toward their own ends. What those ends are is not obvious, but can be deduced by their actions since their inception. the creation of a one-world government and economic system.
