Freemasons trace the origins of the Masonic secret society to medieval stone masons.

The stone masons possessed great skills in stone works from sculptures to the construction of great castles, palaces, and churches.

The word Freemason may have originated from the fact that stone masons were free to travel to wherever they were commissioned to work; hence, they were "free" masons with special privileges.

In those days, only clergy and stone masons were free to travel, sometimes between warring kingdoms.

The guilds of the stone masons eventually became what we now know as the secret society called the Freemasons.

There is not much evidence of the existence of Freemasonry prior to the 1800's.

In his book, Proofs of a Conspiracy, John Robison made a strong case that Freemasonry had been taken over by an even more secretive group called the Illuminati.

Evidence suggests the Illuminati is still active within Freemasonry.

Masonic symbols are strange, sharing much in common with satanic symbolism.

A famous and powerful Mason declared that freemasonry is Luciferic in philosophy and methods.

He explained that there is a secret society within a secret society, where an elite core can control the regular members without anyone being the wiser.

This is how Freemasonic conspiracies may be true, despite the fact that most masons have no idea.

THE ILLUMINATI AND THE MASONIC SECRET SOCIETY

Part of the Freemasonry conspiracy is that other secret groups derived from them, such as the Knights Templar and Illuminati. One of the most well-known writers of Freemasonry, General Albert Pike, wrote a book outlining the occult origins of the symbols, rituals, and initiations of the Order. Lending credence to the idea of a Freemasonry conspiracy, Pike writes:

"The Blue Degrees are but the court of portico of the Temple. Part of the symbols are displayed there to the initiate, but he is intention-ally mislead by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand them; but it is intended that he shall imagine that he understands them. Their true explication is reserved for the Adept, the Prince of Masonry."

THREAT POSED BY MASONIC SECRET SOCIETY

The Freemason conspiracy first came to light in the late 18th century and flourished in the 19th century. John Robison is purported to have brought forth allegations of a Freemasonry conspiracy with links to secret societies, such as the Illuminati, with it's origination traced to Adam Weishaupt as its founder.

In 1775 Weishaupt began planning to challenge Catholic authority. So, one might ask, "Whatever became of Freemasonry conspiracy, or was there ever really a Freemasonry conspiracy?" Although evidence suggests there is a Freemasonry conspiracy, there is no known documented proof.

There is, however, documented proof of the Illuminati conspiracy of the 1700's. George Washington even stated that he had no doubt that the Illuminati were secretly seeking world domination, even here in America.
