Hitler and Fascism: As the American People Lose More of Their Freedoms Can we Soon Say Obama and Fascism?

Hitler and fascism seem to go hand in hand any time the subject of the ideology of fascism is brought up.

Fascism had been originally used to illustrate the Italian government when it was under the rule of Benito Mussolini and in many ways Hitler was greatly influenced by Mussolini.

Within the country of Germany the economic system stayed much the way is always had been, as a capitalistic economy.

However, government and the state took on much more power and control than it ever had before when it came to managing the economy and deciding what was produced and how much people should pay for it.

The state also exerted a great deal of power over the working class people, dictating where they should work, how long they should work, and how much they would be paid.

When Hitler and his organization took over these responsibilities they had a great deal control over the German people as well as control over unemployment and inflation within the country.

Hitler was a very smart man who quickly saw that the German people had put him into a position of power that they were quite willing to follow.

It didn't take long before Hitler and fascism meant the same thing in the eyes of the world.

INSTABILITY RESULTED IN FASCISM

During the 1930s Germany faced one of the most disordered and chaotic times in its history. The country was in disarray after World War I and the German people felt defeated and humiliated by the Allies. Gone was the dream of becoming the strongest nation in the world. The people of Germany were resentful after they lost the war and they seemed to face a future that offered little hope for them.

Then along came Adolf Hitler, and more specifically, Hitler and fascism. The German people needed something or someone to give them back their hopes and their dreams and Hitler seemed to be the man they were waiting for. Hitler was a very charismatic man, who magnetically seemed to draw the people towards him.

Not only did Hitler know what he wanted, he knew how to motivate the German people into following along with him. It didn't take long for Hitler to turn Germany into a fascist state.

FASCISM MORE THAN RACISM AND STATE POWER

For many people the link between fascism, racism, and power of the state is a tight one. After all, most of us think of Hitler as a Nazi who ruled the German people with an iron fist and who took it upon himself to decide that the Jewish race needed to be destroyed. So how is it possible to link fascism in Germany with fascism in the United States today?

Hitler and fascism were much more than the murder of the Jewish people and the power of the state. Take into consideration these other issues that were taking place decades ago in Germany and compare them with American issues today:

• State and government ownership of land.
• Health care controlled by government.
• Government control of the military.
• Division of corporate profits.
• Government control of education.

Many of the same issues facing the German people before and after World War II are taking place in the United States today. Our government wants more and more control of what happens within this country while at the same time giving us less and less say in what happens.

The United States is leaning more towards becoming a totalitarian nation than the republican country we started out as. As more and more of our freedoms and rights are taken away from us we become more of a fascist country. Fascism demands that freedoms are taken away so that the state can assume all the power. Isn't this what is happening today in the United States?

HITLER AND FASCISM AND THE UNITED STATES

The German people after World War I, and American citizens today, have one major thing in common: the willingness and optimism to rebuild after hard economic and social times.

How close is the United States to becoming a fascist country? With Obama as the new leader, much the way Hitler was the new leader for Germany, are American citizens willing to blindly follow Obama wherever he may lead because they are hopeful for a new beginning a better future?

Or are we ready to question the significance that Obama plays in the new world order and recognize that once again we are being manipulated by the global elite into helping them build their new world order?
