GUN CONTROL VS GUN RIGHTS

Understanding the Issue of Gun Control vs Gun Rights Leads Clear Thinking Americans to the Conclusion That Elites Look Forward to an Unarmed, Easily Controlled Population.

Gun control vs gun rights is a long-standing matter of contention in America. The Second Amendment in the United States Constitution gives Americans' right to bear a firearm, but the elites are hoping to disarm lawful citizens.

This should be so clear and simple, but the debate over guns rages on. Advocates of gun control constantly point to the Columbine and Virginia Tech massacres to support their view that gun possession causes unnecessary death and injury.

Gun rights advocates, on the other hand, see it as fundamental to our constitutional rights to be able to own a firearm. If the US government has guns, why shouldn't the people have the right to own them, too? Is the government really more responsible than we are?

The Constitution takes into consideration that human beings throughout history have been unable to peacefully co-exist in a perfect society; it therefore provides protection for the individual by giving us personal liberties and rights to free speech, free press and freedom to bear arms.

We should take into consideration that the freedom to bear arms is one which provides us with security and the ability to live without fear. Crime happens very quickly and there is often very little time to summon the authorities.

How can we be expected to put our own lives in someone else's hands?

THE PREFERRED METHOD OF SELF-DEFENSE

When entering into the gun control debate, we should consider what alternatives there are for self-defense if a gun is not an option. The dismal ideas that gun control advocates like to promote are downright dangerous. They would like people to resort to some other, less effective method of self-defense.

How many of us would like to wield a rolled up newspaper or a small kitchen knife against a criminal? Sometimes the mere presence of a gun will scare off your attacker.

FIGHT FOR FREEDOM

When looking at gun control vs gun rights, we must acknowledge the fact that the majority of gun owners believe that all of our constitutional rights are important. Gun-control advocates do not.

This was evident when gun control advocates supported President Clinton's orders to do intrusive gun sweeps. In so doing, they undermine, redefine and water down the Second Amendment which is at the basis of individual liberty.

Why do they want to take away our freedom? When considering gun control vs gun rights we should look at just how many dictatorships began with gun control.

Mussolini, Hitler and Stalin are just a few of the most notorious dictators who enforced gun control. Why should we be left vulnerable under an all-powerful government?

In the debate about gun control vs gun rights, we cannot deny that the right to bear arms is enshrined in our Constitution. Not only is it a right, but it has slowly become a necessity in today's troubled, criminal world run by the banking mafia.
