Violence is on the rise and education is declining in the American school system enabling deciding to homeschool the only sane choice today. Every day you seem to hear of another story of a school shooting, murder, gang fight, stabbing or theft in the American education system and that is only the stories that you hear about.

With the rise of gang activities in America it is only reasonable that the violence that is being perpetrated on the streets will make its way into the school system.

In fact when interviewed nearly seven percent of students today say that they have carried a weapon to school for protection in the last thirty days, and that is something parents should consider when deciding to homeschool.

And you know that not all students were being truthful in this survey, the number of weapons in school on any given day is much higher. You are sending your children into a war zone on a daily basis for the sake of an education that is substandard at best.

Children today are just as likely to shoot you if you look at them wrong as they are to help you when you are down. The worst part is there seems to be nothing the system can do to protect your children. Kids are being shot every day in schools that have metal detectors in the entrances of their doors and police patrolling the corridors.

Many people deciding to homeschool their children because that is the only decision that is making sense for the safety of their children. 81% of schools in America reported violent crimes in the United Sates in 2006 and that includes elementary to high schools. The problems are not only being found with the higher grades younger children have access to weapons and are using them.

It is only a matter of time that someone in your child's school decides that he or she is tired of getting bullies and your child is the target of their rage. It does not matter who is bullying them anymore, they are trying to get more kills than the Columbine shootings and if your child is in the way, so be it.
