CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT MARCHES IN DECLINE

Civil Rights Movement Marches were Once Important, but their Power is Fading because of Government Tyranny.

Civil rights movement marches paved the way for creating equality in America, and though they are a critical part of history, big government continues to oppress them.

The people of America are losing rights every day, and people are beginning to see evidence of this.

These famous marches are scattered all throughout American history, and sadly are now regarded as insignificant in the grand scheme of American society and politics.

This is thanks to greedy politicians using the emergence of new beliefs as the basis for social change.

According toWikipedia, the free encyclopedia, the King assassination and the Poor People's March of 1968 took place in Memphis, Tennessee.

The march, which advocated a strike by sanitation workers, was held in response to the deaths of two sanitation workers.

The march took place after Dr. Martin Luther King's death, and pushed for their workers union to be recognized by the government.

This march, however, produced a lot of riots in cities across the nation, including Baltimore, Chicago, and Washington, D.C.

And even though decades have passed since the march, demonstrators continue to be punished and arrested for participating in peaceful protests and modern civil rights movement marches.

Minority groups continue to be denied representation in the work world, even though they have been the subjects of discrimination.

Minorities without enough money are forced to deal with these injustices, because they cannot afford to hire a lawyer.

And thus, the cycle continues.

Jobs are lost, minorities are denied jobs, and workplace injuries go unnoticed.

The Selma to Montgomery March, one of the most critical civil rights movement marches, according to We Shall Overcome, was a march held to advocate voting rights in the United States.

It took place as recently as 1965.

Yet politicians and big U.S. government continue to punish Americans for voicing their opinions regarding whom they're going to vote for.

For example, there is a lot of political bashing going on in America every day, even though there should be a separation of church and state.

The bashing is most commonly directed toward the Republican Party, because the party's beliefs deviate from that of the majority, which is predominantly democrat.

The Selma to Montgomery March was interrupted by law enforcement, which attacked protesters with tear gas and other weapons.

The disturbing part here is that government punished citizens for exercising their right to assemble and ultimately the right to free speech.

ABUSE OF POWER AND THE PEOPLE

Civil rights movement marches are the hallmark of American democracy.

Yet the government continues to meddle in peaceful protests, which are a legitimate part of American society.

The government is manipulating people voicing their opinions with bogus claims that they pose a threat.

While some marches turn violent, the vast majority of them are stopped by government force before the people have a chance to be heard.

In essence, this tells America that you cannot speak your opinion without consequences.

And if you speak out against government officials or American government, your reputation could be ruined.

You could be blacklisted, which essentially tarnishes your character and can prevent you from getting a job.

Such an abuse is considered defamation, yet the government continues to use it to punish average citizens.

In mainstream American society, defamation against an individual is considered a crime, just like libel.

However, corrupt government and political officials have no qualms using their power to take away individuals rights.

THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT AND DISRIMATION TODAY

Even though the Civil Rights Movement fought to create equal rights for all citizens, including minorities, blacks and other ethnic minorities continue to be discriminated against.

In 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus, but even today, you can still find people who refuse to give up their seats for other minority groups.

Physically disabled Americans must fight to get a seat on an overcrowded bus, because people are not willing to give up a seat.

As a result, they get hurt, and may become even more severely disabled.

Even so, the rights of these people are ignored.

Many disabled Americans seek legal representation to fight issues like these, but they are kept from the counsel they need, because they don't have enough money.

Their civil rights are constantly ignored, and the Social Security Administration often denies them benefits, because it does not deem them "too able bodied" to qualify for benefits.

CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT MARCHES HAVE ALL BUT DISAPPEARED

As if it weren't obvious, the civil rights of Americans are disappearing as we speak.

The freedom of choice is constantly threatened by professionals and government officials.

Freedom of choice is under attack, as American doctors cajole people into having procedures they may not want.

The result is a society of people, who got sick, because of medical malpractice.

Americans have conscious choice, but politicians manipulate their emotions with political propaganda, which lead them into believing things that challenge their morals.
