Changing American Constitution Information Will Lead to the Global Elite Taking Yet More Power and Rewriting Our Constitution For Their Sole Benefit.

Changing American Constitution information can be done, the question is should it be updated now, to fit 21st century? And if the changes are to be put into effect, then who, or what body will make the changes?

Calls for a modern day Constitutional Convention have been circulating since the 1970's. To date, 32 states have made it official and signed on to the idea of revitalizing information on the American Constitution. Article V says that a 2/3rds majority, or 34 states, are needed in order to convene a new Constitutional Convention.

Ohio is the latest state to hold public hearings on the matter of changing American Constitution information. A number of states have rescinded their approval after first voting to go along with the movement. There has been only one constitutional convention so far, the first one, held in 1787 by the founding fathers.

The result of this convention was to replace the Articles of the Confederation with the United States Constitution. The Articles of Confederation were the documents put in place when the colonies broke away from King George and Great Britain.

The core of the problem is who will actually make the changes? Given the power of the global elite, and their influence everywhere, chances are they would weave their web of deceit into the new convention and work even further toward the destruction of America.

THOUGHTS OF THE CRITICS

Critics fear that once the measure is approved by the majority then the delegates to the convention that would change American Constitution information would become more powerful than Congress itself. Naturally, those people would be the global elite.

The convention, simply by convening, renders the U.S. Constitution null and void, according to critics of the movement. That cancels the United States of America. It ceases to be, according to those who oppose the Constitutional Convention move. Critics also argue that the Bill of Rights would be trashed and no longer law.

In the extreme, with no Bill of Rights in place, blacks could hypothetically be returned to slavery, women could lose the right to vote, gun owners could lose the right to bear arms.

There would be no first amendment right to free speech. Rewriting American Constitution information could permanently do away with these liberties that citizens now take for granted. Gays and lesbians and others could find themselves locked away in concentration camps. One religion could be written into the new document to supersede all others.

Congress is the body which would select the delegates to the new convention. The greatest fear on both sides of the issue is that there are no rules to govern a Constitutional Convention except the ones the delegates themselves choose to put into place.

Neither Congress nor the president could override or veto any law, proposal, or measure that would come out of the Constitutional Convention.

CHIEF JUSTICE SPEAKS OUT

In June, 1983 Former Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Warren Burger, spoke out against attempts to modernize American Constitution information. In a letter he said:

'There is no effective way to limit or muzzle the actions of a Constitutional Convention. The convention could make its own rules and set its own agenda. Congress might try to limit the convention to one amendment or to one issue, but there is no way to assure that the convention would obey. After a convention is convened, it will be too late to stop the convention if we don't like its agenda. The meeting in 1787 ignored the limit placed by the confederation Congress for the sole and express purpose.

'With George Washington as chairman, they were able to deliberate in total secrecy, with no press coverage and no leaks. A Constitutional Convention today would be a free-for-all for special interest groups, television coverage, and press speculation.

'Our 1787 Constitution was referred to by several of its authors as a 'miracle.' Whatever gain might be hoped for from a new Constitutional Convention could not be worth the risks involved. A new convention could plunge our Nation into Constitutional confusion and confrontation at every turn, with no assurance that focus would be on the subjects needing attention. I have discouraged the idea of a Constitutional Convention...'

AMERICAN CONSTITUTION INFORMATION VALUES

Proponents of the movement to rewrite information on the American Constitution want it done in order to force the federal government into balancing the federal budget. There is currently no law that makes Congress or the president work within spending limitations. Critics tell us that using a Constitutional Convention just to get laws mandating a balanced budget is like using a machete to trim one's toe nails.

Hearings held at Ohio's State House last December resulted in the measure being defeated. Ohio did not join the call for redoing American Constitution information. However, the bill's sponsor told the gathering that he would reintroduce it during the next legislative session.

These are just ploys by the global elite to use this route to gain more power. Unfortunately, they have many other routes if this one doesn't work.
